About
Mark’s introduction to clinical research was working as a Clinical Trial Assistant at a Phase 1 Unit, conducting first-in-man studies, during the third year of his degree in Biomedical Science in the UK. After completing his degree he worked as Clinical Data Manager at the University of Sheffield, in the area of oncology trials. Joining the Institute in 2012, Mark started off as a Clinical Trial Co-ordinator/ Monitor, then progressed into Clinical Trial Management. Mark currently helps oversee clinical operations and is involved in quality management, monitoring and compliance activity across a broad range of studies undertaken at the MRINZ.
In his spare time Mark enjoys hiking, snowboarding and home-brewing, not necessarily in that order.
