Quality medical care increasingly relies on innovative new technologies. It is imperative that novel medical devices are rigorously tested for clinical safety and efficacy throughout development, including in healthy volunteers and patients. The MRINZ has worked closely with leading medical device companies to design and conduct gold-standard research supporting device development and adoption in practice. Some of the technologies studied in patients include devices for rhinothermy, nasal high flow, and venous thromboembolism prevention.
