Dr Rebekah Lamb
MBChB, PGDipObstMedGyn, Dip Paeds, FRNZCGP
Rebekah Lamb has recently transitioned from General Practice into medical research, working within the MRINZ Asthma and Children’s Health teams. Rebekah’s career trajectory has a continued focus on women, children, their families and whānau, which is now expanding further through her contribution to public health research and implementation.
After gaining her medical degree and postgraduate diplomas in obstetrics and paediatrics from Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, Rebekah worked as a GP in both Cambridge and the Kāpiti Coast. Rebekah also worked for a year in the highlands of Papua New Guinea at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital, which offered a first-hand experience of a limited resource environment, without many basic medications. This steeled her commitment to public health equity, both here in Aotearoa and in a global context.
Living on the Kāpiti Coast, Rebekah enjoys gardening and exploring the beautiful beaches, walking tracks and native bush Aotearoa has to offer.
