The HRC celebrates 30 years of supporting Kiwi Research

This month the Health Research Council (HRC) celebrates 30 years of funding healthcare research in Aotearoa, which includes many of our studies. In this clip, the wonderful Dr Matire Harwood (GP and Clinical Researcher) speaks about asthma research from the MRINZ that is now changing clinical practice for patients at home in New Zealand, as well as around the world. This has included dedicated support for research investigating the benefit of different forms of care for Māori and Pasifika patients, who face poorer outcomes (such as more hospitalisation and death) when compared to other groups. Dr Harwood explains the findings of this work in the above clip.
